Fredric B. Prohov has been a practicing attorney for more than 30 years in Chicago. He brings a depth of experience in sophisticated business transactions. His field of concentration has been in real estate, finance and corporate transactions ranging from large corporate mergers and acquisitions and reorganizations to closely held family business concerns. He is skilled in negotiation of agreements, structuring debt and equity facilities for business entities and assessing risk mitigation strategies.

Prohov also possesses a strong passion for the environment and strives to integrate business and sustainability goals. In 2004, he obtained his designation as an accredited professional from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), acquiring the title of LEED AP. In 2005, Prohov established the Sustainable Development Corporation known as SDC Consulting to further support his clients’ sustainable business practices as well as promote sustainability education.

Prohov is an active member in the USGBC Illinois Chapter. He is the founder and chairman of the Integrated Business Transactions committee and serves on the Education and Research committee as a member. He is also a member of the International Network of Boutique Law Firms, Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors and Capital Markets Partnership, among many other environmental, law and business organizations.
